<p id="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVqEen6YTpk"><iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/sVqEen6YTpk" width="560" height="315" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="allowfullscreen" data-mce-fragment="1"></iframe><br /><br />ONE of the world&rsquo;s most popular sporting megastars will be the racing ambassador for the world&rsquo;s richest harness race.</p>
<p>Former UFC champion Charles Oliveira, who boasts over six million Instagram followers and a serious love for harness racing, has accepted the ambassadorial role for the inaugural $2.1mil TAB Eureka at Club Menangle on September 2.</p>
<p>The deal was inspired and made by Aaron Bain Racing and Summit Bloodstock, who will combine to bring Oliveira​ to Sydney for the week of the TAB Eureka. They also have a slot in the race.</p>
<p>Oliveira, who boasts 33 wins from his 43 fights and still competes in the UFC, sent social media into a frenzy on July 13, 2021 when he upstaged US Hall of Fame driver Tim Tetrick to win an exhibition harness race at Yonkers in New York.</p>
<p>&ldquo;Harness racing is a real passion of mine. I&rsquo;m crazy about it,&rdquo; Oliviera said.</p>
<p>In an exciting twist and as part of Oliveira&rsquo;s deal, he will return to the sulky for another exhibition race, this time against superstar Australian driver Luke McCarthy at Menangle&nbsp;on the night&nbsp;of the TAB Eureka.</p>
<p>&ldquo;I&rsquo;m trying to protect my unbeaten record,&rdquo; Oliviera said. &ldquo;It&rsquo;ll be great to get back in the bike (sulky).</p>
<p>&ldquo;That&rsquo;s just part of the reason I jumped at this opportunity. I love harness racing and this new race sounds like a great chance to promote the sport to a much bigger audience.&rdquo;</p>
<p>Oliveira will also work closely with Aaron Bain Racing and Summit Bloodstock around the announcement of which pacer will race in their slot.</p>
<p>&ldquo;When we bid for a slot in the TAB Eureka we promised to use it as a chance to take the sport outside of its bubble,&rdquo; Bain said. &ldquo;That&rsquo;s the very reason we approached Charles. He&rsquo;s not just a sporting superstar and celebrity, he&rsquo;s one with a genuine love of harness racing and he&rsquo;s the perfect fit.</p>
<p>&ldquo;We&rsquo;re thrilled to be bringing him out here for the whole week leading up to the TAB Eureka and will have a series of events and appearances while he&rsquo;s here to help promote the race&nbsp;and our industry.&rdquo;</p>

UFC Star Charles Oliveira Announced as TAB Eureka Racing Ambassador

<p>Outstanding New South Wales jockey Tyler Schiller is setting an amazing record with Aaron Bain Racing.</p>
<p>Earlier this year Schiller took up ownership opportunities with ABR, and horses part-owned by him have raced 15 times for 15 wins.</p>
<p>Schiller, 24, is in a state of shock over the winning run.</p>
<p>&ldquo;It is incredible &ndash; all my horses have won,&rdquo; Schiller said.</p>
<p>&ldquo;I can&rsquo;t believe it &ndash; Aaron has done a fantastic job placing them.&rdquo;</p>
<p>Schiller&rsquo;s winning tally went to 15 at Port Pirie on Tuesday with victories by Matador and Maluka Miss.</p>
<p>The winning run may continue at Globe Derby Park on Monday when Man United has his second Australian start.</p>
<p>Schiller had an early love of harness racing as a child with his father Glen, and grandfather Peter, involved in the sport for more than 30 years.</p>
<p>&ldquo;In fact, I was getting ready to apply for a driving permit, when the opportunity arose to go into a thoroughbred stable,&rdquo; Schiller said.</p>
<p>&ldquo;Pop (Peter) had a good horse early on and still trains a few as does Dad, and I loved helping out at the stables.&rdquo;</p>
<p>Schiller&rsquo;s life changed markedly when he became an apprentice jockey, and he is a star on the rise.</p>
<p>He rode his first Group 1 winner in March when Mariamia won The Galaxy at Randwick, and he became the first apprentice in 15 years to achieve such a feat.</p>
<p>Schiller is on track to win the Sydney apprentice&rsquo;s title again and also aims to try and beat the 60 city win mark for an apprentice set in 2006/07.</p>
<p>His association with ABR developed through Jamie Durnberger from Summit Bloodstock who is related to Cheree Curtis, wife of Sydney trainer Lee Curtis.</p>
<p>&ldquo;Jamie learned that I loved harness racing and sent me a text to see if I was interested in becoming an owner,&rdquo; Schiller said.</p>
<p>&ldquo;I thought why not and asked him to send me a list of horses.</p>
<p>&ldquo;I just picked out Sheza Manipulator and Fletch Maguire, without really delving too deeply into their form.</p>
<p>&ldquo;I didn&rsquo;t have to wait long for them to hit the track and was super impressed with their wins.</p>
<p>&ldquo;I was on the mailing list, then opportunities came up to be involved with Maluka Miss, Man United and Matador and I jumped at the chance.</p>
<p>&ldquo;To think they have all won, some multiple times, is really unbelievable.</p>
<p>&ldquo;To reach 15 wins without a loss, and Aaron thinking we can go for 16, is really a dream.</p>
<p>&ldquo;I did think the winning run might be in jeopardy with a lap to go at Pirie when Matador was in front and being tapped up.</p>
<p>&ldquo;Another horse really challenged him on the home turn but he was good enough to fight on and win.</p>
<p>&ldquo;I have to give credit to Jamie and Aaron for finding the horses, preparing them properly and placing them to be able to land multiple victories.</p>
<p>&ldquo;I haven&rsquo;t seen them race live but enjoy watching them from Sydney on the television.</p>
<p>&ldquo;Maybe one day one or two of them might get to Menangle, and I would be there for sure.&rdquo;</p>
<p>Schiller said he had never been to Adelaide, and actually knocked back an offer to ride in Saturday&rsquo;s Goodwood Handicap because he felt he had a good book of rides in Sydney at Rosehill Gardens.</p>
<p>Such is his love for harness racing, Schiller said it was in his thoughts to maybe take out a driving permit once he finished race riding.</p>
<p>&ldquo;But that is some time in the future, as I am loving racing.&rdquo;</p>
